Cranial osteopathy has been around for a long time, but recently it has become more popular – especially for treating babies.

It is very effective for some people and for some conditions. The way it works is complex, and essentially involves very subtle movements to the bones of the head and spine to improve movement and fluid flow. What is important is the outcome of this – a cranial treatment can be very effective at reducing migraine symptoms, improving mobility at a sore joint, helping during head injury recovery and much much more.

One of the main ideas of cranial osteopathy is restoring fluid balance within the body, allowing good fluid flow throughout the various body systems. The gentleness of this technique allows us to use it with patients who are very unwell, as it works with the body encouraging it to change rather than forcing it.

Our practitioners here at Kingsland are all skilled in cranial osteopathy, and we all choose to use it at different times and in different ways depending on your needs. We believe in tailoring our treatment to your body’s specific requirements and cranial osteopathy is one of the tools we may employ depending on what your body needs.
